Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher, Yoga Teacher
Jamie discovered the meditation limb of yoga as a teenager through her soccer coach. She loved it so much she borrowed cassette tapes from him to practice. Quickly, meditation became a habit for her, a ritual she practiced to get in “the zone” for each game. After Jamie completed her soccer career at The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) she finally found the remaining seven limbs of yoga. Yoga became this beautiful piece of her life that made her feel the way she felt when she was dancing on the ball… free, expressive, and whole.
Since beginning her practice, Jamie has completed yoga trainings in Baltimore, Maryland under Kim Manfredi and in Rishikesh, India studying under Shiva Shankar. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s Degree in Applied Gerontology. In addition to teaching locally, Jamie has experience working with and teaching meditation and yoga to college sports teams, kids soccer clubs, corporate workplaces, schools, private groups, and families. Jamie is a transplant to Santa Barbara, who came here from the East Coast with a dream, an open heart, her sweet dog Rufus. When she is not on her mat practicing yoga or meditating, you can find her smiling in ocean. dancing her way through a barre class, or spending quality time with her West Coast family.
